Open to all Carmel High School students. No prior Science Bowl experience required.
Carmel Science Bowl is a competitive academic team that prepares throughout the school year for two main events: the Indiana Regional Science Bowl in February and, for the A team, the National Science Bowl in late April.
We field three teams — A, B, and C — selected through a fall tryout process. All three compete at Regionals; the A team also travels to MIT Science Bowl (TBD) in November and Nationals in Washington, D.C. in the spring.
Fridays from 4:15 to 5:30 PM in H113.
Tryouts run for roughly 9 weeks each fall, starting in late August. Students compete in two rooms: an advanced room (mostly returners and upperclassmen, eligible for A Team selection) and a novice room (mostly new students, ineligible for A Team selection).
